Week of the Young Child Celebration
On April 19, 2008 more than 270 people celebrated the Week of the Young Child. This free event was a day of fun and education outreach
to families and children in the community in collaboration with the LA County Department of Public Health and others.
Families and children enjoyed music, dances, food, fun activities and games. Booths focused on the needs of children's nutrition,
safety, fitness, environment, healthy child development and children with special needs. The event took place
at Westside Children's Center in Culver City from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
WOYC is an annual national celebration promoted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

From face painting and arts & crafts, music & food, to fun activities like: Safari Campout Adventure,
Salsa Dancing lessons, Bookmark Design and Outlandish Hat making.
