Week of the Young Child-2009
April was the Month of the Young Child!
And every year on this month WCC celebrates with a big event.
This year, on April 25 more than 250 people came to celebrate the Week of the Young Child.
This free event was a day of fun and education outreach to families and children in the community.
Children participated and shared with parents in several fun activities from arts & crafts ,
green planting, face painting, cooking classes, salsa dancing lessons. Also, families learned
about therapy dogs, healthy food choices and community partners.
WOYC is an annual national celebration promoted by the
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
