Pre-school Graduation on June 30th, 2010 was a proud and exciting day for Westside Children's Early Care and Education Programs. Thirty-nine of our best and brightest will go from our Center-based and Family Child Care programs to the Big School -- kindergarten. As the graduates received their diplomas, cheered on by their peers, there was a sense of confidence that each child had acquired the skills necessary to be successful at their new school.

Our teachers and family child care providers, in partnership with parents, prepared our children to be life-long learners. The children leave WCC with a strong foundation in social and emotional development, intellectual skills and a motivation to learn.

 All the children made enthusiastic projections about their futures; wanting to become lawyers, doctors, veterinarians, teachers, police officers, dancers, professional athletes, musicians and even an ornithologist -- who was quick to explain his career choice. Graduation Day brings great hope for the children of our community. Just watch them go!
