Family Support Services:

Family Support Services assist families with young children to create health, nurturing home environments through a range of multi-disciplinary services that are designed to meet the unique need of each family.

A team of mental health, health and child development specialists engage parents as partners as they create case plans to address family concerns and issues. Services are delivered in the family's home, at our offices and in other community settings that include:
  • Assessments
  • Individual and family counseling and therapy
  • Parenting education classes as well as role modeling in the home
  • Nursing consultations and presentations on health and safety issues
  • Specialized child development services
  • Case management
  • Referrals and linkages to other needed services


Family Preservation Services:

Westside Chidren's Center is the lead agency for the Westside Family Preservation Network. The Network provides comprehensive, multi-disciplinary services delivered in the family's home and at other community locations to improve family functioning in families at risk of losing their children as a result of abuse or neglect. Network services include:
  • Assessments, direct services, referrals, and follow-up
  • On-going assessment of home environment
  • Improving healthier and safety in the home through teaching and demonstrating
