Westside Children's Center - Children Graduation09

June 30th, graduation day was a fun and proud day for Westside Children's Early and Education Program as we sent off a group 28 of our pre-school children to the Big School aka, kindergarten. As we saw them walk up to receive their diplomas and heard them cheer for each other we were confident that every graduate acquired the skills to be successful at their new school setting.

We feel that our teachers in partnership with parents prepared our children well to be life-long learners. This is evidenced by their strong foundations for intellectual skills, their socio-emotional readiness and the motivation to learn. They made determined and enthusiastic comments about their futures, wanting to become anthropologists, doctors, police officers, marine biologist, dancers, teachers, professional athletes and musicians. We are convinced, when we look at this graduating group that our community has a lot to be hopeful for and look forward to. Just watch them go!!
